The south, the sun… and the shadows underwater

My name is Sylvain Chabbert , I come from the South-East of France , where the sun beats down, the waters are clear... and the fish are cunning.

Since I was little, fishing has been part of my balance . My father passed on this passion to me, and with it the taste for silence, observation, and respect for nature. I started with trout fishing with lures , a fine, demanding technique that taught me precision and patience.

Over time, my passion has broadened. I discovered float tube fishing, a real revelation: being on the water, as close as possible to the spots, totally immersed in your environment, it's a unique experience. And when the sun is beating down hard (as is often the case in my region) you need suitable equipment .

That's where OUTWATER comes in. Their technical UV-protective clothing has become a no-brainer for me. Lightweight, comfortable, and breathable, they allow me to stay focused on my hunt without ever being exposed to the elements. Whether on a lake, river, or warmer, more exposed waters, I know I can count on them.

These days, I devote a large part of my sessions to a formidable opponent: the catfish . Fishing for this giant is a school of constant adaptation. Each session is a new challenge, each catch a reward worthy of the effort.
